Howard Farmer, age 77, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. Howard was born on August 12, 1946, in Clarksville, TN to the late Gracey Lyle Farmer and Polly Louise Hagewood. Howard is also predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Lyle Farmer and George Richard Farmer.
Howard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Gay Farmer; son, Bill (Kelly) Farmer; daughter, Missy Brake; brother, Danny (Pam) Farmer; granddaughter, Brittney Taylor Brake.
A celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Chester officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 5-7 pm at the funeral home and on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 10 am until the hour of service. Burial will follow directly after the service at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers: Sam Letcher, Danny Farmer, Chad Mcwharter, Joe Moore, Mick Husband, Joey Atkins and Dwight Farmer.
Howard was known for his country sausage, Bar-B-Q Chicken, and Boston Butts. Howard proudly served in the US Navy from 1966-1970 aboard aircraft carriers, USS Randolph and USS Yorktown. He enjoyed many activities throughout his life, such as hunting, fishing, flying his Ultra-Light, and many other activities with his family. He was also a reserve deputy Sherriff for Montgomery County for many years. Howard “Big H” worked at the Zinc Plant as an Industrial Mechanic and retired after 23 years and also at Akebano (Bosch).
