FERRARA, ANTHONY

1935 – 2023

Anthony moved to Tulsa with his wife Carolyn in July of 2022 and they enjoyed 4 months before he started to decline

Anthony was born in Patchogue New York and went on to move to Sparks Nevada, where he attended high school.

He joined the Navy on August 1, 1952 and because of his ambition, he was able to serve on the USS York Town aircraft carrier and he was very proud of that. After leaving the Navy he was immediately employed by the Boeing Company and again because of his ambition, he became a general manager at Boeing. He worked there from 1956 until 1995 and has been retired ever since.


He and Carolyn traveled all over the US as well as the world. During his lifetime he also loved boating, fishing, golf, Mariners, horse track and penny slot machines.

We cannot forget that he loved to bowl as well and was on league’s. He was quite good.

He was one of the nicest persons and enjoyed his life jitterbugging and having fun. He enjoyed a happy life.

He is survived by wife Carolyn, his children Debbie / Brian deBoer – Mike / Sonja Ferrara and stepson Brandon/ Paula Swanson. He also leaves behind his four grand children – Chad Mitchell/ Monica Rommel/ Tyler Ferrara, Jeff Swanson and great granddaughter/ Mia Rommel.

He is survived by brother Ken Ferrara and sister Marie Mendoza. He also leaves behind many “bonus” family members that came into his life throughout the years.

He is preceded in death by his father Joseph Ferrara, his mother Margaret Powers and his step-mother Haiti Ferrara. He is also preceded in death by brother Robert Ferrara and sister Joan Compton.
