MANDEL, ROBERT

1947 – 2022

Robert James Mandel of Des Plaines, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Robert was born February 13, 1947. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Robert served on the USS Yorktown (CVS-10) in 1966 as part of VAW-11 Det T.

Survivors include his brothers, Raymond and Leonard (Karen) Mandel and his sisters-in-law, Pam and Gail Mandel. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Audrey Mandel and his two brothers, George and Wayne Mandel.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
