Our beloved husband, father, Grandfather, Uncle and friend. Died at home with family at almost 96. Survived by wife of 68 years Mozelle Bean Mills, son Ronald Mills, daughter Georgeanne Kaut, Grandson Stephen Williford Mills, Granddaughter Callan Kaut, nieces Kathy Moore, Dr. Mary Moore, Connie Bean Head, Kathy Hancock Pinckert husband Chuck Moore, nephew Bill Hancock and wife Donna Hancock, many Great, GG, and GGGnieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Preceded in death by George Wilson Mills,Sr., LTC USNR and Elsie Boatwright Mills, son-in-law Gregory Kaut, niece Carol Bean Watters, Great Niece Keirsten Head. Born May 4, 1928 in San Diego, CA much to his chagrin as he arrived 2 mos early.
A Navy brat who grew up in Cali, FL, SC, TX, VA, MA, China and the Philippines. Graduated from Arlington High School 1946. President of his Sr. Class, Co-Capt. Football Team, lettered in every sport. Served 5 yrs USN. Graduated UT Austin 1956 where he met his wife. They bought their home in Farmers Branch and stayed put.
Loved his church family/friends at Covenant Presbyterian Church (Faith United Presbyterian) for 63 years and served as Deacon, Elder and Stephen Minister.
He was a Master Mason who belonged to the Farmers Branch and Carrollton Lodges where he served as Chaplain, Past Master and was a Golden Trowel recipient.
He also belonged to Kiwanis Club and others. Employed at TI after College 15 years, ran a moving and storage business for years, retired from Otis Engineering after 15 years.
He was gregarious, funny and always had a smile on his face. He loved to make people happy. When you watch the Cowboys or go to the stadium think of him as his old home place in Arlington is now under the Blue Parking lot!
