Married at 17 years old, Donald and Elizabeth spent 56 ½ wonderful years together. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Baytown, TX. Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, cooking, reading, gardening, fishing, camping and volunteering at her church. She was a room mother for both, her children and grandchildren, a Cub Scouts den leader, and member of the Junior Forum of Baytown. She taught Sunday School, volunteered for VBS, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and Job Corp for Women and many other activities at Second Baptist Church.

Elizabeth was affectionately named ‘Memaw’ by her grandchildren and all those who were close to the family lovingly called her Memaw too. Memaw was a very loving and understanding person. She was the oldest of all her siblings and was proud to take care of them while her parents worked.

Memaw could do just about anything, from sewing and cooking the best dang fried chicken ever! She ran and owned a business for 9 years and worked at various other places, but her greatest job and accomplishment was raising her family and leading everyone to know her lord and savior, Jesus. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. Grandchildren and great grandchildren were spoiled and doted on abundantly. She spoiled her kids and husband too, which is why she will be missed dearly.

A special thank you to Dave Jirrels of Second Baptist Church for the way he ministered to our family during this time and through the years. Visiting Angels, for the wonderful caregivers; especially Nique, Evelyn and Jessica. Their care and concern for her and the family surpassed what the family ever expected. Heartfelt thanks to Faith Community Hospice workers, Nurse Ruth Golden and Tammy who provided such experienced care and comfort while in her final stages before her grand entrance in heaven.
