1942-2025

David D. Gilman, 83, of Donovan passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at his home. He was born on August 23, 1942 in Oblong, IL, the son of William and Irene (Yankee) Gilman. He married Carol Tallon in Kankakee on September 19, 1992.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Gilman of Donovan. Also surviving are Terri (Gerald) Mayfield of Chebanse, Scott (Jennifer) Tallon of Knoxville, TN, Kelly Tallon of Kankakee, and Vickie Tallon (Ed Whitecross) of Kissimmee, FL.

David served in the United States Navy. He owned DCG Express and had the CB nickname, “Cowboy”. Mr. Gilman was an avid horseman with his wife Carol. He loved watching Westerns and was a racecar and truck connoisseur.
