Our Core Values
REMEMBER

The USS Yorktown CV-10 Association was forged during the first USS Yorktown (CV-10) Reunion, April 15, 1948. In the 1970s, the USS Yorktown (CV-10) Association saved their ship from the scrapyard when it was decommissioned, so future generations could walk her decks and learn her storied past.

INSPIRE

Young men transformed into heroes aboard the USS Yorktown. Amidst the harsh realities of war, there are also many humble tales of young sailors finding purpose and developing character during their service. We're passionate about engaging younger generations with these stories of courage, leadership and strength.

CONNECT

USS Yorktown veterans can step onto the carrier of their youth and walk the same paths they once frequented. Our annual reunion is an opportunity for our members to share the rich history that so often goes unspoken. They reconnect with old shipmates and forge new friendships.

EDUCATE

USS Yorktown (CV-10) is now a National Historic Landmark and the jewel of Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum in the Charleston harbor.

Hundreds of thousands visit annually, immerse themselves in the life of a sailor and walk away with a more tangible understanding of history.
