How Would You Like to Help?

General Operations

Our day to day operations include helping someone research their dad's service, giving a free tour to our veterans, reunion planning and memorial services.

Aircraft Restoration

The salt air of the Charleston Harbor is brutal on historic aircraft. Our goal is to raise $70,000 to restore the A-4 and the S2-E Tracker as tribute to those who lost their lives flying these types of aircraft from the USS Yorktown. We've raised over $36,000 so far!

Kiosk Project

Over 14,000 veterans are represented in our interactive kiosk on the ship. With your help, we add more names and biographies every week. Here, our crewmembers find old shipmates, and families memorialize their Yorktown veterans.

Reunion Memorial Service

Each year, we hold a memorial service for our shipmates who have passed since the last reunion. We invite the family members to be a part of it, cast a wreath and attend the luncheon afterward. It costs nothing for the family except travel.

Ship's Library Restoration

This empty room next to the chapel will look like a library again. It was a place to escape from the rigors of life on a Navy ship, if just for a little while. Classic literature, the latest novels and magazines from home helped keep a "fragile sanity".

We are a 501(c)(19) veterans nonprofit that meets the requirements of IRC 170(c)(3) for tax deductible donations.
