FELLERS, RICHARD

Richard Earl Fellers, 88, of Newberry, SC, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Prisma Health Baptist Hospital. Born August 23, 1935, he was a son of the late John and Ida Welch Fellers, and widower of Rachel Lucinda Lyons Fellers.
Richard was a proud Navy veteran and served on the USS Yorktown. He enjoyed working and retired from Torrington in Clinton SC and Wolverine Brass in Conway SC; he worked as a Machinist. In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel music and most importantly, he loved spending time with his family.
Richard was a good Christian man, and looked forward to the day he would be with Jesus. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Breakthrough Tabernacle Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and Lewis Methodist where he was a Sunday School Teacher. He was also a member of the Gideons. Richard was always willing to share his faith and plant seeds about Jesus to anyone that came in contact with him.
Richard is survived by his sons, Harley Eugene Crapps, (Karen) and Terry Crapps; daughter, Katina L. Crapps Daniels (Gene). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was predeceased by his daughter, Gloria Attaway Dozier; granddaughter, Starr Lucinda Crapps; great-grandson, Hunter Jeffords; and brothers, Levi and J.B Fellers.
Funeral services with military honors will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, April 12, 2024, at Break Through Tabernacle Church, 122 Whitmire Hwy, Joanna, SC 29351. A burial will follow at Newberry Memorial Gardens. A visitation period will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Gene Daniels, Johnny Jacks, Keith Rushton, Dilyn Grice, Brad Edwards, and Logan Edwards..
